
Additional Panels
Additional panels belong to the category of indication signs. Their purpose is to supplement the indication given by vertical signs, to restrict their application to certain categories of road users, to limit their validity to certain periods of time or to indicate the length of the road in which the following requirements apply:

Models No. 1a and 1b - Distance Indicator Panels These panels can be used when indicating the distance from a place of danger or the beginning of the location where the prescription referred to by the sign applies. Model No. 1b can only be used with the B1 sign. ![]() |

Template 2 – Indicator Panels for the Length of a Section They indicate the length of a section of track to which the signal message applies. These panels may be used to indicate the length of the section where there is a specific hazard, such as slippery pavement or roadworks; when stopping or parking is prohibited in areas outside built-up regions; with signs C10 and C17, where it is deemed useful to indicate the extent of the prohibition; and with sign H35, to indicate the length of a tunnel. ![]() |

Models No. 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d – Indicator Panels of the Start or End of Regulatory Location They mark the point on the road where the prescription begins or ends; Models 3A and 3C are used when the signs are placed parallel to the axis of the track, and Models 3B and 3D when they are perpendicular to that axis. ![]() |

Templates 4a, 4b and 5 – Regulated Extension and Extension Repetition Indicator Panels They inform that the indication or prescription regarding parking or stopping applies only to the extensions displayed on the panels. ![]() |

Models No. 6a and 6b – Indicator Panels for the Continuation of the Regulated Place for Parking or Stopping Repeat the information on the prohibition of stopping or parking previously given; Model No. 6A is used when the sign is placed parallel to the centre of the track, and Model No. 6B when the sign is perpendicular to it. ![]() |

Models nº 7a, 7b, 7c and 7d – Periodicity Indicator Panels They limit the indication or prescription to certain time periods; Model 7a indicates the days of the month on which the prohibition on the sign applies; Model No. 7b indicates the days of the week; Model No. 7c indicates the hours of the day; and Model No. 7d indicates the days of the week and the hours of the day. ![]() |

Template 8 – Duration Dashboards They indicate that the message of the signal is only valid during or beyond the period shown on the panel. |

Template No. 9 – Weight Indicator Panels They state that the prescription contained in the sign applies only when the total weight of the vehicle exceeds the value shown on the dashboard. ![]() |

Models No. 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d and 10e – Application Indicator Panels Models 10a and 10b indicate that, respectively, the message does not apply or only applies to certain vehicles or operations, with model 10c stating that the prescription does not apply to electric vehicles, model 10d that the message only applies to charging electric vehicles, and model 10e that the prescription does not apply to bicycles. ![]() |

Models No. 11a, 11b1, 11c, 11d, 11e, 11f, 11g, 11h, 11i, 11j, 11l, 11m, 11n, 11o, 11p and 11q – Indicator Panels of Vehicles to which the Regulation Applies They are intended to inform that the indication or prescription on the sign applies only to vehicles appearing on the dashboard; Model 11A should be used for passenger cars and mixed vehicles; Model No. 11B for goods vehicles; Model No. 11C for heavy passenger vehicles; Model No. 11D for vehicles displaying the parking card for people with disabilities; Model No. 11E for heavy vehicles; Model No. 11F for motorcycles; Model No. 11G for mopeds; Model No. 11H for bicycles; Model No. 11I for agricultural vehicles; Model No. 11J for vehicles assigned to the service of certain entities; Model No. 11L for electric vehicles; Model No. 11M for goods vehicles whose total weight exceeds what is indicated on the dashboard; Model No. 11N for caravans and motorhomes; Model No. 11 for unloading points for caravans and motorhomes; Model No. 11P for motorhomes; and Model No. 11Q for vehicles that display a parking card for people with disabilities or that carry pregnant women or accompanying children in their arms. Models No. 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e, and 12f – Authorized Parking Position Indicator Panels Indicates the authorized arrangement for parking vehicles and can be used only with the H1 information sign; the panels of models No. 12C to 12F can only be used in situations that do not compromise pedestrian traffic. ![]() |

Models No. 13a and 13b – Priority Track Diagram Indicates that the lane with priority changes direction and must be used only with the B3 sign; the wide line represents the road with priority. ![]() |

Model No. 14, 14a and 14b – Miscellaneous Information Panels Indicates the possibility of certain circumstances that should be made known to the user, indicating Model No. 14a, the category of the tunnel when it is subject to restrictions on the transport of dangerous goods and Model No. 14b the existence of a tunnel and its category. ![]() |
