Obligation Signs

obligation signs convey to users the imposition of certain behaviours. Signs of obligation shall be placed in the immediate vicinity of the place where the obligation begins, with the exception of signs D1, D2 and D4, which may be placed at a convenient distance from the place where the obligation is imposed.

	D1a - Mandatory direction Indication of the obligation to go in the direction indicated by the arrow on the signal.
	D1b - Mandatory direction Indication of the obligation to go in the direction indicated by the arrow on the signal.
	D1c - Mandatory direction Indication of the obligation to go in the direction indicated by the arrow on the sign at the next intersection.
	D1d - Mandatory Direction Indication of the obligation to go in the direction indicated by the arrow on the sign at the next intersection.
	D1e - Mandatory direction Indication of the obligation to go in the direction indicated by the arrow on the sign at the next intersection.
	D2a - Possible Mandatory Directions Indication of the obligation to follow one of the directions indicated by the arrows on the signal.
	D2b - Possible Mandatory Directions Indication of the obligation to follow one of the directions indicated by the arrows on the signal.
	D2c - Possible Mandatory Directions Indication of the obligation to follow one of the directions indicated by the arrows on the signal.
	D3a - Obligation to go around the sign or obstacle Indication of the obligation to go around the sign or obstacle from the side indicated by the arrow inscribed on the sign.
	D3b - Obligation to go around the sign or obstacle Indication of the obligation to go around the sign or obstacle from the side indicated by the arrow inscribed on the sign.
	D4 - Roundabout Indication of the entrance to a roundabout, where the traffic rules of these intersections apply and where traffic.
	D5a - Compulsory road for goods cars Indication of the obligation for all goods vehicles to circulate on the transit lane to which the sign refers; The inscription of the weight, in tonnes, on an additional panel, indicates that the obligation applies only when the gross weight of the vehicle or combination of vehicles exceeds the weight referred to.
	D5b - Mandatory road for heavy cars Indication of the obligation for heavy goods vehicles to circulate on the traffic lane to which the sign refers.
	D5c - Mandatory lane for motorcycles Indication of the obligation for motorcycles to travel on the traffic lane to which the sign refers.
	D6 - Lane reserved for public transport vehicles Indication that the road is reserved only for the circulation of regular public passenger transport vehicles, taxis, vehicles that travel on a rescue mission or urgent service of public interest, properly marking their march, and vehicles on a police mission.
	D6a - Road reserved for vehicles with high occupancy rate Indication that the traffic lane is reserved only for the circulation of vehicles carrying two or more persons, including the driver.
	D7a - Mandatory track for bicycles Indication of the obligation of bicycles to circulate on the track specially designated for them.
	D7b - Mandatory pedestrian lane Indication that pedestrians are required to use a lane specially designated for them.
	D7c - Mandatory track for riders Indication that riders are required to use a track specially designated for them.
	D7d - Mandatory cattle and herd lane Indication that herd drivers are required to drive cattle on a specially reserved track.
	D7e - Mandatory lane for pedestrians and bicycles Indication that pedestrians, as well as bicycles, are obliged to use a lane that is specially intended for them, and that the D7e or D7f sign must be used to signal this lane, consonant, and respectively, there is no separation between the two parts of the lane intended for pedestrian traffic and for bicycles.
	D7f - Mandatory pedestrian and bicycle lane Indication that pedestrians, as well as bicycles, are obliged to use a lane that is specially intended for them, and that the D7e or D7f sign must be used to signal this lane, consonant, and respectively, there is no separation between the two parts of the lane intended for pedestrian traffic and for bicycles.
	D8 - Obliged to travel at a minimum speed of ... km/h Indication that the driver is obliged to travel at a speed not less than that indicated on the signal.
	D9 - Obligation to use snow chains Indication that vehicles may only travel when they have snow chains on two drive wheels.
	D10 - Obligation to use dipped beam headlamps on Indication that vehicles can only travel with the low beam on.
	D11a - End of the compulsory lane for goods cars Indication that the mandatory lane for goods cars has ended.
	D11b - End of compulsory road for heavy vehicles Indication that the mandatory road for heavy cars has ended.
	D11c - End of mandatory lane for motorcycles Indication that the mandatory lane for motorcycles has ended.
	D12 - End of the lane reserved for public transport vehicles Indication that the lane reserved for public transport vehicles has ended.
	D13a - End of mandatory track for bicycles Indication that the mandatory track for bicycles has ended.
	D13b - End of mandatory pedestrian lane Indication that the mandatory pedestrian lane has ended.
	D13c - End of the mandatory track for riders Indication that the mandatory track for riders has ended.
	D13d - End of mandatory runway for cattle in herds Indication that the mandatory runway for cattle in herds has ended.
	D13e - End of the mandatory lane for pedestrians and bicycles Indication that the mandatory lane for pedestrians and bicycles has ended.
	D13f - End of mandatory pedestrian and bicycle lane Indication that the mandatory lane for pedestrians and bicycles has ended.
	D14 - End of the obligation to drive at a minimum speed of ... km/h Indication of the place from which the obligation imposed by the D8 sign ends.
	D15 - End of the obligation to use snow chains Indication of the place from which the obligation imposed by the D9 signal ends.
	D16 - End of the obligation to use the dipped beam headlamps Indication of the place from which the obligation imposed by the D10 sign ends.
	D17 - End of the road reserved for vehicles with a high occupancy rate Indication that the lane reserved for vehicles with a high occupancy rate has ended.
