Pre-Signaling Signs

Pre-signalling signs indicate exit destinations from an intersection, whether or not completed with route instructions. The indication of the destination must always be associated with the indication of the number of the road that serves it and must be written in brackets, when access to that destination is not direct. On roads with only uneven intersections, each intersection corresponds to a number, which must be written in black in a rectangle with a yellow background. Signs I1, I2d, I2e and I2f may only be used at uneven intersections, and signs I2e and I2f must be placed above the road.

	I1 - Simplified notice You must have the destinations you serve, as well as the distance to departure and, where applicable, the number of the same.
	I2a - Graphic Warning It has inscribed the destinations referred to each of the directions of the graphic scheme, as well as the identification of the roads associated with them, which may contain vertical signs.
	I2b - Graphic Warning It has inscribed the destinations referred to each of the directions of the graphic scheme, as well as the identification of the roads associated with them, which may contain vertical signs.
	I2c - Graphic Warning It has inscribed the destinations referred to each of the directions of the graphic scheme, as well as the identification of the roads associated with them, which may contain vertical signs.

	I2f - Graphic Pre-Warning It has inscribed the destinations referred to each of the directions of the graphic scheme, as well as the identification of the roads associated with them, which may contain vertical signs.
	I3a - Reduced notice period It must contain the corresponding output destinations. Note: These signs can only be used at intersections or junctions with non-national low-traffic roads.

	I4a - Service Area Approach Indication of the fundamental services provided in the service area and the distance to it, and may also contain the designation of the service area.
	I4b - Approach of exit road to service area Indication of the approach of an exit route to a service area containing, in addition to the indication of the fundamental services provided, the distance to the next service area, and may also contain the respective designation.
	I5a - Resting Area Approach Indication of a resting area and the distance to it, and must contain the main points of interest of the same.
	I5b - Approach from exit lane to rest area Indication of the approach of an exit route to a rest area, and must contain the main points of interest of the same.
	I6 - Route pre-signage It indicates the route that needs to be followed to turn left in cases where this manoeuvre is prohibited at the nearest intersection, and the route layout must be adjusted to the configuration of the tracks. Note: This signal can only be used within built-up areas.
	I7a - Dead-end lane pre-signaling Indication of the proximity of a dead-end road for vehicles.

	I8 - Children crossing approach Indication of the proximity of a place frequented by children, such as a school, playground or similar, located in the extension or distance indicated on the sign, respectively.

	I9abc - Level Crossing Approach Indication of the proximity of a level crossing given by the inclined bars, which represent the distance separating the A26 or A27 signal from the level crossing, each bar corresponds to a distance of 100m.
	I9def - Level Crossing Approach These signals are intended to repeat on the left side of the road the signals I9a, I9b, I9c, and the signals A26 or A27 must be placed on the I9a panel and, when necessary, on the I9d signal.
